Bridging Worlds tells the story of a farmer stepping into city life, navigating new experiences and opportunities through technology. Partnering with MTN, he discovers how digital tools can open doors and reshape his daily life.
The project explores character animation, 3D environments, and storytelling through motion, blending creativity and technical detail to bring Charlie’s journey to life. The full process is documented, showing how the characters, environments, and interactions came together from concept to final animation.🌎✨

Waiting at the Farm Stop

Charlie is seated at the bus stop, designed to feel natural and grounded. I rigged his right arm to rest inside his bag and his left to sit on his lap, ensuring his posture looked relaxed and believable.

Noticing the Bus

As the bus enters the frame, Charlie’s head subtly follows it, showing his awareness and creating a natural interaction between character and environment.

City Bus Stop: Camera Set Up

The city bus stop was built in Blender, and the camera was positioned to create a smooth transition from farm to city. Keyframes guide the camera zoom as the bus drives by, bridging the two scenes visually and narratively.

The bus moves at a consistent pace across both farm and city scenes, maintaining continuity and creating a seamless transition between the rural and urban worlds.

Secondary Animation: Leaf to Paper

A leaf caught in the bus’s breeze transforms into a sheet of paper as it enters the city. This subtle transition symbolizes growth, change, and creativity, reflecting my approach of turning simple elements into compelling stories.

Charlie In the City

Charlie is placed at the city bus stop, standing with his suitcase in hand. The scene begins with him looking up at the arriving bus, emphasizing anticipation and the start of a new journey.

Charlie's Facial Expression

To convey happiness and optimism, I rigged Charlie to smile, raised his eyebrows, and slightly widened his eyes. His head movement synchronizes with the passing bus, creating a bright, expressive moment of connection.

A Friendly Gesture

Charlie waves while holding his phone, with careful rigging to keep the device naturally in place. The motion is fluid and believable, highlighting a friendly gesture that emphasizes personality and engagement.
